I am a landscape photographer based in the South West of England.

 

I was inspired to take up landscape photography after relocating to the West Country in 2016 when, finding stunning landscapes and a spectacular coastline now very accessible, I was keen to capture and share images of this beautiful area.

My early efforts did little justice to the wonderful views so I took the plunge and purchased my first DSLR (a secondhand Nikon D750) in 2017 and set about learning how to use it.

Owning a 'proper' camera was of course just the start and I have since continued to work on my photography and to learn the requisite post-processing and printing skills. I am mainly self taught (and still learning!), gaining my knowledge from books, magazines, on-line articles and videos. I have also been lucky enough to attend some excellent photography workshops and along the way I have made some good friends and have gained some valuable insights from talented photographers who have been very generous in sharing their knowledge.

Being fortunate to live in one of the most beautiful parts of the UK I like nothing better than being outside exploring the area with my camera. I also enjoy photographing urban and city environments and I am often drawn back to London to capture new images of our ever changing capital city
